Pixel 7 is now eligible for the following updates: android 14, ensuring a smooth and modern "stock" Android experience. Google promises to provide his three years of OS updates and five years of security updates for this device, but this is from its launch in 2022.

The Zenfone 10, on the other hand, still runs Android 13 with Asus' Zen UI on top. All the company has promised is two major OS updates and his four years of security patches.

Asus offers some additional customization options, but its Android skin looks a lot like the Pixel's "stock" Android. The only duplicate app is Asus' Gallery. Otherwise, Asus relies primarily on Google's apps.

If you want timely updates and a pure Android experience, Pixel 7 is a safer choice. However, it's worth noting that the Pixel 7 is a year older than the Zenfone 10.

Other than that, the software experience on both phones is relatively similar.

In the battery department, the Pixel 7 packs a 4355mAh cell. Supports up to 30W wired charging, up to 20W (12W when using Qi charger) wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Google's Extreme Battery Saver mode is also available to extend battery life if needed.

Zenfone 10 has a slightly smaller 4300mAh battery, but supports 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, making it convenient for charging on the go. Asus also offers different battery modes within the software, allowing you to charge your device for a full day.

It's worth noting that Google doesn't include a charger in the box, but a 65W laptop charger can charge the Pixel 7 from 0% to 48% in 30 minutes. The Zenfone 10 went from 0% to 18% in 15 minutes and reached 35% in 30 minutes using his included 30W wired charger.

Ultimately, both phones offer reliable, all-day battery life.

The camera systems on these devices are interesting. Pixel 7 features a 50Mp main camera, 12Mp ultrawide, and 10.8Mp hole-punch front camera. Google's photo software is well known for its excellence, and the Pixel 7 excels in this area.

The Zenfone 10, on the other hand, features a 50Mp main camera, a 13Mp ultra-wide camera, and a 32Mp front-facing camera with OIS and gimbal stabilization for stable shots. The gimbal stabilization system is especially appealing as it allows for shake-free videos and great photos.

Both phones have unique camera features, so your choice will depend on your specific photography needs and preferences. The Pixel 7's advanced AI features make it a better point-and-shoot camera, but the Zenfone 10 is arguably more versatile.

verdict

The Asus Zenfone 10 offers a great combination of compact size, high performance, long battery life, durability, and affordability, as well as an attractive gimbal-stabilized camera system. That makes it a better option than the Pixel 7, even if it costs a lot more.

However, the Pixel 7 still offers a premium design, top-notch camera features, and timely software updates. If photography, Google's AI, and a pure Android experience are your top priorities, the Pixel 7 is for you.

But today, pixel 7a or pixel 8 It could be a better choice, especially when it comes to camera features.
